The Art Of Burning Stomach Fat
Stomach fat is probably the area more people want to target than any other. Even if you are pretty happy with your body as a whole a lot of people find that roll of fat on the stomach annoyingly hard to shift. So here’s how to go about it;
1/ Stop doing endless crunches and sit ups and expecting that to make the difference. These exercises are used FAR too much. They only work the outer muscles of your stomach which make up a very small proportion of your entire core muscle area. Doing a few of these is fine but you really want to be focusing on deep core exercises such as front plank, side plank, leg raises. These exercises work significantly more muscles and therefore lead to better results.
2/ Get out of the ‘I must work the stomach to burn fat from it’ mind-set. You can’t spot reduce body fat. So you can’t’ just endlessly work the stomach and expect t to see the results. Your body burns fat as an overall unit. So doing total body exercises such as squats, lunges and press ups and going to have a much greater effect at burning fat from your stomach than just ab exercises alone. Make sure you are working with a high heart rate during all your workouts for maximum fat burn.
3/ Get your nutrition right. I know this sounds boring and obvious but it’s unavoidable. If you are taking in excess sugar and carbs you are always going to end up storing it as fat somewhere in the body. One of the most common areas for that is the stomach. So eat as low processed, low sugar, and low starchy carbs as you can.
